1. Information We Collect

When you create an account and use Zomo Pet, we collect the following information:

Account information: your name and email address, used to create and secure your account.
Pet profile data: pet name, species, breed, birth date, weight, color, and photos you choose to upload.
Health records: vaccination history, medications, dosages, vet visit notes, and diagnoses you enter.
Activity logs: feeding schedules, feeding history, and other daily care activities you log.
Documents & photos: any files or images you upload and attach to a pet's profile or records.
Community content: posts, comments, or likes you make if you use community features within the app.
Device information: basic technical data (device type, app version) used for app functionality and crash diagnostics.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information you provide solely to operate and improve Zomo Pet, including to:

Create and maintain your account
Store and sync your pets' profiles and records across your devices
Send you reminders and notifications (e.g. feeding times, medication schedules, upcoming vaccinations or vet appointments)
Allow you to generate and export reports (e.g. for vet visits)
Maintain the security and reliability of the app

We do not sell your personal information to third parties, and we do not use your data for advertising.

3. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a third-party database and authentication provider, which hosts our PostgreSQL database and file storage on your behalf. Supabase implements industry-standard security practices, including encrypted connections and Row Level Security, which ensures your data is only accessible to your own account.

While we take reasonable steps to protect your information, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We do not share your personal data with third parties except in the following limited circumstances:

With service providers who help us operate the app (e.g. Supabase for hosting and database services)
If required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our users
With your explicit consent (e.g. if you choose to share a pet's profile with another user, such as staff or a co-owner)

5. Your Rights & Choices

You have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you and your pets
Correct or update inaccurate information at any time within the app
Delete your account and associated data by contacting us (see below)
Export your data (e.g. via the app's report/export feature, where available)

6. Data Retention

We retain your account and pet data for as long as your account remains active. If you delete your account, your personal data and associated pet records will be permanently removed from our systems within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law.

7. Children's Privacy

Zomo Pet is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal reasons. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page when changes are made. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
